Wear parts & maintenance: High-manganese steel fixed and movable jaw plates, side cheek plates, toggle plate and eccentric shaft bearings are the main wear components. The jaw plates have a symmetrical profile, so they can be reversed vertically to use both ends before replacement. The toggle plate is also a mechanical safety fuse - it shears to protect the frame and shaft if uncrushable tramp metal enters the cavity.
