Gold Trommel Screen Working principle

First, we need to dig out gravel and separate the largest rocks. In order to reduce the wear of the drum, we adopt raw materials with stuff and robust trommel mesh, like carbon steel, stainless, woven mesh, iron angle. This is convenient way to take out large stones while keeping small to medium materials. Some larger washing equipment containing grizzly bears may be placed on the right side of the drum, allowing separation to occur at the same time the material is fed into the hopper.

Method 

As the gold bearing material gets run through the drum, the smaller particles are able to flow through the screen material with which the drum is made, and then the material proceeds to the sluice box or even other systems of operation. The larger rocks run all the way through the trommel and are discarded.

Once the gold trommel has been used to classify the content, then the placer gold can be recovered from the sluice box in a traditional method. Only the finer material is left to run through the sluice which means that it runs very efficiently and once everything is set up properly the capture rates are quite high.
