The introduction of trommel screen
The trommel screen is lifted up by the rotation and aerated as it falls back down. This action is repeated with each revolution along the length of the drum. The finer material passes through the screen openings while the larger material tumbles towards its eventual exit at the rear of the drum.
The working principle of 100 tph trommel screen
The screen drum of a conventional drum screen is supported by 4 rollers. During work, two active rollers on one side of the cylinder are driven by the motor and reducer to rotate. Depending on the friction, the active rollers drive the cylinder to rotate, while the two rollers on the other side play a slave role. The inclination angle of the drum sieve will affect the residence time of the waste material in the sieve drum. It is generally considered that the inclination angle of the drum sieve drum is in the range of 2 ° -5 °. The material to be screened enters the barrel from one end (feeding hopper) of the barrel. Due to the rotation of the barrel, the material slides along the inner wall of the barrel. Fine material smaller than the screen hole of the cylinder falls into the receiving tank, while coarse material larger than the screen hole of the cylinder is discharged from the other end of the cylinder.
