Working principle of gold washing machine:
A trommel screen consists of a slightly inclined rotating metal tube ("scrubber section") with a screen at its discharge end. The ore is fed into the raised end of the trommel. Water, usually under pressure, is supplied to the scrubber and screening sections, where the combination of water and mechanical action releases valuable minerals from the ore. Mineral-bearing ore passing through the screens is further concentrated in smaller equipment such as gates and jigs. Large pieces of ore that do not pass through the screen can be transported to the waste dump by the conveyor belt.
Detailed steps of the gold washing process:
The raw material is sent to a grate to separate large rocks (if any) before entering the trommel hopper. After the material enters the drum hopper, there are often high-pressure water pipes around the hopper to assist feeding. The material is fully washed in the first section of the scrubber, and the material is fully turned and separated in the drum.
There are blades inside the drum to break up the clay, then the material enters the double drum drum. SINOLION designs and produces double-layer drums, the inside of which is welded by steel bars, with a diameter of 30mm to 50mm depending on the size of the drum. This drum is to separate the gravel to protect the outside of the drum.
An outer drum with a screen, usually 5 mm or 8 mm, depending on the size of the gold particles that may be contained. Large pieces of rock are separated to the end of the trommel, while the slurry with gold particles flows to the bottom of the trommel for further processing to extract gold. In simple terms, the above steps are as follows:
