Portable Gold Trommel Wash Plant

The main function of the facility is to process large quantities of gravel thought to contain gold. Because even a small amount of gold requires a lot of gold ore, some mechanism is needed to separate out all the larger grit from the worthless rock. Once in this way, we can deal with the smallest size of the gold material with gold dust and flakes.

Gold Trommel Screen Working principle

First, we need to dig out gravel and separate the largest rocks. In order to reduce the wear of the drum, we adopt raw materials with stuff and robust trommel mesh, like carbon steel, stainless, woven mesh, iron angle. This is convenient way to take out large stones while keeping small to medium materials. Some larger washing equipment containing grizzly bears may be placed on the right side of the drum, allowing separation to occur at the same time the material is fed into the hopper.

Through the grizzly, the materials are fed through the hopper. This is the primary feature of a trommel that makes it so efficient. A rotating drum with holes in it. This allows the material to separate as the gold trommel rotates, and the smaller pieces fall through while the bigger rocks stay in the gold trommel screen.

The hopper of most gold wash plant also have water jets from within, which provides high pressure to break down any clay and dirt even as the drum keeps rotating while the slurry moves through the drum. This is especially important where high clays are present since it can catch and hide the gold.
